Everything you need to know
and want to know...

Dear guests,
Thank you for wanting to be our guests. In order to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible, we have put together some information about the apartment, how to get there and the city.
Arrival, check-in:
In principle, arrival is possible by 3:00 p.m. at the latest. If you would like to check in earlier, you are welcome to contact us in good time, we will try to make this possible for you. We do not issue keys or access cards. Access to the apartments is only possible with numerical codes. We will inform you of this in good time before your arrival, either by WhatsApp message or by email.
This allows you to arrive when it suits your schedule. Nevertheless, it is helpful for us if you let us know your planned arrival time in advance, if possible. On the day of your arrival we would like to welcome you personally if possible, so we ask that you give us a quick call about 1 hour before your arrival.

Park:

at Apartment Hansel:
With this apartment you have a free parking space for the entire duration of your stay. This is located directly in front of the entrance to the building.
at Apartment Gretel:
If you arrive on the day of arrival, you can park your car in the immediate vicinity of the building on Sundays and public holidays and leave your car in the old town at 8:00 a.m. the following day. Please use the parking disc on weekdays. This allows you to stay in the old town for a maximum of one hour to load or unload. Afterwards, please use free public parking outside the old town. We recommend P4 Bleiche car park near Rothenburger Tor. From here you can walk to the apartment in a few minutes.
The following link will give you an overview of the parking options in Dinkelsbühl

Your time in the apartment:
In general, we do not charge a deposit from tourist guests. However, we expressly reserve the right to do so for some dates, such as during the Summer Brezze Festival. In these cases, we will write to you in good time and point this out to you. If you have a pet with you, the deposit will be charged in any case. In addition, fitters must pay a deposit.
If you are required to pay a deposit, please note the following:
The deposit is due in cash on the day of arrival. It is currently €150. If no misconduct or damage is found, you will receive the amount back by bank transfer to a bank account you specified no later than 5 working days after your check-out.
In the fridge you will find a little refreshment as a free welcome gift.

In both apartments you have the opportunity to light the fireplace to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the wood fire. Especially with regard to the enormous increase in energy prices, we would be very happy if you could use the stove as often as possible to save natural gas. But please use this only if you really trust yourself to handle fire. You can also find information on how to deal safely with fire directly in the apartment. Please always remember that you only leave the apartment when the fire in the stove has died down.
Also a big request to you:
Use the heating in the building judiciously. We would like to be able to offer the apartments as cheaply as possible in the future. Our radiators are equipped with digital thermostats. Only increase the temperature as far as is comfortable for you. Lower the temperature before opening/tilting the windows or doors. During the heating period, please be sure to close all windows and doors before leaving the apartment.

What to consider at the end of your stay:
Since you do not have to hand over any keys, you can check out as you wish on the day of departure. Basically, you should leave the apartment around 10:00 a.m. so that our cleaning team can start promptly. If we can enable you to check out later, we will inform you in advance. To make our team's work a little easier, we would be pleased if you:
- Place dirty dishes completely in the dishwasher and switch it on
- Dispose of any rubbish in the rubbish bins provided in the yard
- Close all windows and doors when leaving

our apartments are right in the center of the old town. You therefore have short distances to a large number of restaurants and cafés. In addition, some destinations in the vicinity are mentioned that we can also recommend. In general, we recommend booking in advance. The following list is only a recommendation and does not claim to be complete. We always welcome feedback on restaurant recommendations so we can update the list if necessary
